Leicester AG Meet: Entries for the Leicester Age Group meet in April will be made AFTER 3 of the 4 Lincolnshire County Championships meets. This Level 2 meet will accept fastest entries only, so the club entry will be made as near to the closing date of March 16th as possible. This meet is aimed at our Performance squad, though some Development swimmers might also have eligible times.

Minster Meet: Skills & Development swimmers should note that the Minster Meet will take place on Sunday 22nd April at Beverley pool.  This is one of the two targeted meets for Development swimmers who are all expected to enter this meet.  Aspiring Skills swimmers are also encouraged to enter this meet.  There are lots of swimmers already entered, so email Matthew to confirm your entry before the end of February please.

Tulip Meet: If anyone fancies a weekend of camping and swimming this Spring, the Tulip Meet is held in Spalding on May 5th/6th.  As the name suggests, this is also the weekend of the flower parade, so camping Friday & Saturday nights is recommended to avoid the morning traffic.  A number of Louth swimmers have ‘gone it alone’ in recent years, and have had a great time in the pool and also socialising with the other swimmers at the onsite camping field.  The 2013 County Qualifying window opens on May 1st, so this is about the first opportunity available to get qualifying times for next year’s County Champs.  Note that whilst this is not a targeted meet for Development swimmers (see Minster & BOBS), this is a great opportunity to compete locally.  There is already interest from a number of families, so please email Matthew for more details if you’d like to compete and we will make an official club entry for 2012. Summer Sizzler: Sunday 8th July might seem a long way off, but that’s the date we intend to take every eligible swimmer over to Ponds Forge to swim in the BOBSC Summer Sizzler.  Rather than get up early for the journey over to Sheffield, 6 months notice should see some good hotel discounts for early bookings.  We won the top visiting club prize last year, and hope to retain our title in 2012.  Entry details will be sent out as soon as they are available.
