Sportsman’s Week: Please let Sarah have your entries and payment ASAP for this years event on June 30th. The club is starting to learn the skills necessary to hold it’s own Open Meet, so we will be using an open meet computer system for the first time for Sportmans Week this year.
Summer Sizzler: The club entry has now been made for the BOBSC Summer Sizzler on July 8th. A total of 57 swimmers will be competing in an incredible 335 heats as we look to win the prize for the Top Visiting Club. With a Lincs League gala in Lincoln the night before, it will be a busy weekend for many.
Club Open Meet: Plans for the club to host our own Open Meet are now starting to develop. Most swimming clubs hold at least one open meet each year to raise much needed funds for a number of reasons; including the ability to keep subscription fees as low as possible. Initial investigations have shown that running an Open Meet requires a small army of volunteers to fill the myriad roles required. Please bear this in mind when the recruitment campaign starts in a few months time!
