County Swim Day: Six Louth swimmers enjoyed an inspirational day at Repton School in Derbyshire on Saturday 15th June with Olympians Mel Marshall and Ross Davenport.  Almost 50 swimmers from across Lincolnshire attended a County Development Swim Day – run through Swim Inspiration – and were a credit to the county as they were given first hand advice of what it takes to get to the top from experienced Olympians. Summer Sizzler: A new club record will be established on Sunday July 7th when we take 58 swimmers to compete in the 50m pool at Ponds Forge in Sheffield. This will be a great way to gain a first experience in an Olympic sized pool for many of our Skills swimmers, and invaluable for everyone else to update their Long Course times on the ASA database. With 300 races being contested on the day, there’ll be lots of new PB times achieved for sure, and hopefully many County Qualifying Times too.

Vulcans Level 3: Entries have been made for 12 swimmers to compete in Grantham on July 13th at the LVSC & GSC L3 meet.

Eindhoven 2013: We have arranged a meeting on the 16th June for swimmers & their parents at 4.15pm in Studio 2 at the Meridian Centre for half an hour before land training.  This is in order for us to update you on all information regarding the trip and answer any questions you may have.  Our swimmers entries can be viewed here

Summer Fun: Following on from a great night last year, we have again booked Woodhall Spa, Jubilee Park’s outdoor pool for a night of fun on July 13th. It is intended that the swimming club has exclusive use of the pool complex, and half of the  main pool will be set aside for the popular aqua scramble &  scramble time split over the different squads. The smaller leisure pool is ideal for family fun with little ones, and the grounds for social activities and picnics.  This year we may well provide the club’s large BBQ so you can bring your own food Aussie-style.  Camping on one or both nights is available (Friday & Saturday), so please register your interest ASAP with Tracy Challis tracychallis@btinternet.com or at the Swim Desk  on Sunday evenings.  We have decided to fund the pool hire from club funds as a reward to everyone for supporting the club in many different ways; everything from using Easy Fundraising to helping on poolside.

Club Calendar: Please keep an eye on the Diary section of the website where details of forthcoming events and any changes to our regular training sessions are posted.  As well as our League competitions, there are a number of Open Meets which swimmers are encouraged to enter in order to develop their racing skills, test themselves in competition with swimmers from across the country, and achieve qualifying times to make them eligible for higher grade events. If you have any queries about which meets to enter, then feel free to raise these with your squad coach or Matthew.

Club Open Meet: We’ve agreed the date for the club to host it’s first Open Meet in Louth on 2nd November 2013. Further details of the Meridian Meet can now be found via the Open Meet menu item at the top of this page.
